Sibos Brings More Than 10,000 Global Business Leaders to Miami Beach
One of the world’s major financial-services conventions is making its Miami debut this week at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Running September 28–October 1, Sibos brings together more than 10,000 attendees from over 160 countries, with 500+ speakers and 250+ sessions. For South Florida’s convention, hotel, restaurant and event sectors, the gathering demonstrates Miami’s ability to attract large, international, high-level business audiences. Sibos
Palm Beach County Approves $300 Million Second Convention Center Hotel
West Palm Beach’s meetings and convention infrastructure is poised for a major expansion after Palm Beach County approved an agreement with Related Ross for a new 400-room Hilton Curio hotel adjacent to the Palm Beach County Convention Center. The project is expected to cost more than $300 million and include restaurants, meeting and function space; tourism officials say additional on-site rooms could help the destination compete for larger conventions. Arlo Wynwood Hotel Sells for More Than $44 Million
Miami’s hospitality investment market remains active as Houston-based Dauntless Capital Partners acquires the 217-room Arlo Wynwood. The nine-story lifestyle hotel features a ground-floor café, rooftop bar and pool, placing it directly within one of Miami’s most active nightlife, dining and event districts. Published September 29. Mizner Country Club Completes $7 Million Hospitality Upgrade in Delray Beach
Mizner Country Club has completed an approximately $7 million clubhouse renovation that includes a redesigned One Mile Bar & Grille, new outdoor terrace and upgrades to other hospitality spaces. New Luxury Automotive Event Platform Chooses Coral Gables for Its Debut
Miami-based duPont REGISTRY Group is expanding further into experiential events with the launch of Elferspot Events, a new platform built around Porsche collectors and enthusiasts. Its inaugural three-day gathering is planned for Miracle Mile in Coral Gables and will include a Porsche rally, VIP dinner, concours showcase and related programming—another example of luxury brands using South Florida for high-end experiential events.
