PortMiami Breaks the 10-Million Cruise Passenger Mark for the First Time
South Florida's cruise and tourism economy reaches a major milestone as PortMiami surpasses 10 million cruise passengers in a single fiscal year. Passenger traffic is at least 16.8% above last year's record, while new ships and terminal investments continue expanding activity at the port—good news for hotels, transportation providers, attractions, restaurants and entertainment companies serving cruise visitors and groups. Miami Lands Another Major FIFA Tournament at the New Nu Stadium
Miami's position as an international sports-and-events destination continues to grow as Nu Stadium is selected to host the decisive phase of the 2027 FIFA Women's Champions Cup. Inter Miami's new 26,700-seat stadium will host the semifinals, bronze final and championship match January 27–31, bringing another global sporting event—and its associated visitors, hospitality and entertainment demand—to South Florida. The Palm Beaches Set a New Tourism Record With More Than 6 Million Visitors
Palm Beach County welcomed a record 6.09 million visitors during the first half of 2026, a 6.4% year-over-year increase that underscores continued demand for South Florida travel and hospitality. South Florida Adds Two New Michelin Key Hotels
The region's luxury-hospitality profile is rising again as two Palm Beach properties earn prestigious Michelin Key recognition for 2026. The Vineta and The Colony joined Michelin's hotel selection, while The Breakers moved up to Two Keys, bringing South Florida's total to 17 Michelin Key hotels and strengthening the region's appeal to upscale leisure, corporate and destination-event travelers. PGA National Plans New Private Golf Club and Clubhouse in Palm Beach Gardens
PGA National Resort is expanding its luxury leisure and hospitality offerings with plans for a new members-only golf club on its 807-acre Palm Beach Gardens property. The project will replace the former Estates Course with a redesigned par-70 course and new private clubhouse, adding another high-end amenity to a South Florida resort market that serves leisure travelers, corporate groups and destination events.
